“ First timer and had a craving for catfish.. I was able to get sat fairly quickly and our server was fantastic! Definitely will be back to try again! ”
“ We were up from San Antonio for the Special Olympics in Bee Caves. We found this place because our Hotel was nearby. Well worth the find, we had the Catfish Platter and let me just sat, the Catfish was delicious. It came with Cole Slaw, Beans and Fries. All the sides were delicious as well. So if your in Austin and never eaten here or coming in from out of town. Do not miss out on eating here, you will be glad you did. ”
“ My husband doesn't like to eat seafood. So of course, the very idea of going to a place called Cherry Creek CATFISH was not something he was going to agree to easily, despite being certain catfish wouldn't be the only thing on the menu. Thankfully, a friend of ours wanted to have dinner and DOES like seafood like I do, so I had the perfect excuse to finally go here! The inside is really cute, well-themed and feels very much like a seafood joint should. We were seated in the back and it was nice they had a partition to break up some of the noise between patrons conversing. We felt quite comfortable being able to chat about whatever without someone overhearing us. The menu had a decent selection. Not huge, but not small either. Prices seemed quite reasonable. I got the catfish. Obviously. It was alright. Not amazing, like I'd hoped. The chips were really good though. I'd gotten the smallest plate (like 3 fillets... the large had 8... OMG!), but I still had plenty of leftovers to take home with me. My husband enjoyed his chicken meal, and my friend enjoyed what he got too. So I'll call that a win! The waiter seemed a little frantic; I think the poor guy was maybe juggling too many tables. Can't fault him. He was considerate though and doing his best! Not sure that I'll end up here again simply because it didn't exceed expectations and I've still got several seafood joints on my radar to try out! But it's worth dropping in if you haven't tried it yet. :) ”
“ Cherry Creek Catfish is a great relaxing place to enjoy catfish and other menu options. The crowd is a bit older and see easily bring my parents here. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere great with walls covered with fishing items and history. Located at a shopping center there is lots of parking. The restaurant has both booth and table seating and easy to get in and out. I ordered the Catfish Dinner with mashed potatoes, green beans, and macaroni & cheese as sides. There was four fried catfish fillets but only two hushpuppies. Luckily my wife had plenty on here plate so took two of hers. The sides were great and the catfish was hot to the touch but once cooled down dipped them into the tartar sauce. The catfish with its breading had nice flavor and enjoyed it very much. So if looking a place dedicated to catfish cuisine then this place is for you. ”
“ Went out to eat at cherry creek catfish This place had amazing food was right on point on service A kid friendly place my grandson enjoyed the food and the staff Everything was fresh hot made down to the fries fish shrimp I loved the atmosphere, music, the comfortable dining area I would totally return to this dining establishment to enjoy the awesomeness of this place and the great food ”
“ This is ole Skool! Been coming here for years! Same great food. Same great service. Bring your own to-go box cause you're gonna need it! All the food is great. I always get the catfish and shrimp dinner...and take half of it home. The blackened catfish is awesome as well and the Po'boys can't be beat for the price. It would be nice if they had a full bar but beer and wine will have to do. ”
“ When I asked the server what was good, she said everything. And she was right. Best fried catfish in town, but that's easy. Really good blackened and grilled chicken and a blackberry cobbler with ice cream that beats the Salt Lick. Old school hushpuppies and very serviceable gumbo. Great french fries, as well. Love this place. ”
“ It's still a South Austin favorite! We stopped by after a meet-up nearby. We ordered apps and the so-called regular catfish plate. It was huge! The catfish fillers were on the large side. They come with 2 sides. Our apps were half orders of battered shrooms and fried green tomatoes, which seems to be harder to find in Austin. The service was excellent. ”
“ We walked in and got seated right away. Waitress was nice and gave us time to look at the menu. I ordered a combo Po boy with crawfish and fried catfish. And we also got blackened catfish along with corn nuggets and fried green tomatoes. Everything is reasonably priced for what you get. Portions are big! I could only finish half of my PO boy but ate all of the corn nuggets. The corn nuggets were so delicious. I couldn't stop eating them. They're filled with the sweet cream corn. I wish I had more room in my tummy for more. They gave us a large amount of fried crawfish that it kept falling out of the PO boy. The blackened catfish had a nice kick to it and came with pilaf, green beans, and a salad. We also got sweet tea and it wasn't super sweet! Overall our total for everything was $43 which is pretty good considering how much we got. I would say this place is worth checking out! ”
